About Me

Ron Book has always been interested in politics and policymaking, which is why he started working for the Florida State Gathering in the 1970s. He would later gain firsthand official branch experience filling in as Outstanding Direction and head of Regulative Endeavors for Lead delegate Bob Graham's association, followed by a practically long haul residency as Accessory and Supervisor of the Administrative and Authoritative Guideline Division for the significantly powerful, Miami-based firm of Sparber, Shevin, Shapo, Heilbronner and Book, P.A. (1982-1987).

Ronald L. Book is a graduate of Tulane Law School and Florida International University. He is a licensed lobbyist and has over 35 years of experience in the government and private sectors. Ron was an All-American running back at the University of Florida, where he played for the Gators from 1971 to 1973.

His leadership at the Miami Dade Homeless Trust has been characterized by impactful strategies and significant budget oversight, directing over $66 million toward ending homelessness. His tenure has seen remarkable achievements, such as eliminating Military Veteran homelessness in the area, a testament to his commitment to societal improvement.

Furthermore, as the co-founder and chairman of the Lauren's Kids Foundation, Ronald L. Book works alongside his daughter, Florida State Senator Lauren Book, to prevent childhood sexual abuse. Through its educational curricula, the foundation's presence in over 90,000 classrooms nationwide underscores its extensive impact. His dedication to this cause demonstrates his unwavering commitment to protecting children and supporting affected families.

Mr. Book's educational background, including a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Florida International University and a Juris Doctor from Tulane University, has been fundamental to his career. His athletic pursuits, including competing for the Florida Gators track team, reflect his early commitment to discipline and excellence.

His memberships in professional bodies like the Florida Association of Professional Lobbyists and the Florida Bar highlight his esteemed status in the legal and lobbying sectors. These affiliations and extensive experience affirm his standing as a respected and influential figure in these fields.

His evolution from a legislative staffer to a renowned lobbyist and community leader reflects his expertise, persistence, and dedication to public service. His career encompasses significant legislative influences, substantial community involvement, and leadership in pivotal political campaigns. His impact on Florida's governmental and social landscape has solidified his position as a critical figure in the state's history, recognized for his ability to navigate and shape the political and societal narratives of Florida.
